The Northumberland County Show…in a nutshell The annual Northumberland County Show at Corbridge on May Bank Holiday, staged at the Tynedale Rugby Club ground in Corbridge, is the regions biggest single rural attraction and entertainment event with agriculture remaining firmly at its heart; which in some way accounts for its success.

The show brings together the regions finest livestock and country way of life exhibits which hold appeal not just to the rural community but also the urban visitor who can enjoy an 'open day' of the country.

The May Bank Holiday timing is perfect for ‘showing’ livestock. Exhibitors can ‘judge’, early in the year, how their own stock performs under the public gaze and the judge's eye, so it's become an important testing ground before other agricultural shows further afield, later in the year.

An almost beyond capacity crowd of 26,000 attended last years show (2008) and was reported as ‘one of the best ever’ in the post show meeting of The Tynedale Agricultural Society, which is made up of volunteers (except for the part time post of secretary) who have created the show for the last 27 years
